There's an old story about a famous sculptor (I forget who) who was asked, "How do you do a sculpture of a horse?"  He replied, "Easy.  Start with a big block of marble and take away everything that doesn't look like a horse."  This song was built in pretty much the same manner.  I wanted to try an industrial-type tune, and auditioned dozens of loops looking for the right sounds.  When I found one I wanted to use, I painted a five-minute section in my ACID Music program.  When I had a goodly selection, I started erasing bits and pieces to fit the structure I wanted to use in the song until I was left with what you hear here (or should that be here hear?).  The toughest part was the lyrics;  I finished the backing tracks in late summer '99, but could come up with lyrics I could live with until the following May.

All loops (except for a couple of swishy-airy-breathy background sounds) were taken from the ACID Music CD.  Vocals were recorded in ACID Pro and mutated in Cool Edit Pro.  Final mixdown was done with Sound Forge XP 4.5
